The Holyoke Hockey Club is a 501(3)(c) non-profit free youth hockey program in Western Massachusetts run by an all volunteer board and coaching staff.
To provide youth under-represented in the sport of hockey including kids of color, girls, non-binary kids and economically disadvantaged kids, an opportunity to play hockey without cost in a safe and fun environment.
I grew up playing hockey. Being a hockey goalie has taught me life skills which I still use today. I have continued to play for fun as an adult and have coached my daughter through youth hockey. Hockey has been such a positive influence in my life that I am excited to develop a program to introduce the sport of ice hockey to those who may have missed out.

I began coaching hockey in 2007 and have acted as a coaching coordinator and supervisor in youth hockey for years. Introducing hockey players to the joys of hockey - and showing coaches how rewarding coaching can be - is one of the most fulfilling and gratifying activities I have experienced and I love being able to pass on my love of hockey and all it can bring to new generations of players and coaches.
When I’m not playing hockey, I’m often riding my bike (gravel or mountain), hiking, or hanging out with my family. In my daily life, I’m an attorney in Springfield, MA with a broad litigation and municipal law practice.
I have been so excited to get involved with the Holyoke Hockey Club because its purpose - clearing hurdles to introduce young people to ice hockey in a welcoming way - reflects my strong belief that hockey should be for everyone. Ice hockey has given me so much over the years and I’d love to do whatever I can to ensure others have the same opportunity that I had.

As an adult I have played off and on and continue to love the game as much as I did when I was a child.
I’m a Physical Education teacher and believe that everyone should find at least one activity that will keep them active and moving. Hockey is not always easily accessible to all youth for a multitude of reasons. The Holyoke Hockey Club works to remove barriers to accessing this great game. I look forward to witnessing the smiling faces and joy of the youth participating in our program.

I was able to see first hand how incredibly special the hockey community can be. I fell in love with the game so much that I actually started playing as an adult. It was one of the most challenging, yet rewarding experiences I’ve ever had.

As a young girl growing up in Detroit (Hockey town!), I actually had little exposure to hockey. Detroit had one City owned hockey rink. My first opportunity to play hockey came when my softball coach invited me to join the Detroit Police Athletic League team with her daughter. We were the only two girls in the program. Unfortunately, after only 2 seasons of playing hockey, it was determined that girls could not continue playing after PeeWee, so I hung up my skates until years later when I connected with the Brooklyn Blades, a women’s rec hockey team. I continue to play rec hockey with the Stars, a woman’s organization based in West Springfield and a local coed pickup league. I’ve participated in local youth hockey as both a hockey mom and a coach with the Nonotuck Valley Knights.
Beyond the rink, I am a local Real Estate Broker and the proud owner of a successful eLearning business.
I’m so excited to be part of the Holyoke Hockey Club - breaking down barriers to access and creating a welcoming space for all kids to enjoy the sport of ice-hockey.
